Hello! I am Shayla Sewell

APRN, FNP-C

I am Shayla Sewell, the owner and CEO of Evolving.Care. My journey in nursing began back in 2006, and over the years, I've accumulated a wealth of experience in various healthcare settings. In 2019, I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner license in both Texas and Arkansas, a testament to my commitment to expanding my skills and knowledge in the field. Raised in Marche, Arkansas, I was deeply influenced by the values of southern hospitality instilled in me during my upbringing. Drawing on my background in long-term, intensive, and emergency care, I founded Evolving.Care with a mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare to individuals from all walks of life. This endeavor is fueled by my passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. In addition to my work with Evolving.Care, I am proud to be a co-founder of Joyce’s Girls alongside my sister, Dr. Khayla Sewell Bernard. This nonprofit organization was established in memory of our late mother, 𝑱𝒐𝒚𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒏 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑫𝒐𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒖𝒔, who tragically lost her battle with breast cancer in 2018. Our personal experience with our mother's illness has inspired us to raise awareness about breast cancer and advocate for preventative care, screenings, and support systems through Joyce’s Girls. Our motto, "Helping Us Survive," encapsulates our overarching goal of reaching out to individuals and bringing about positive change in their lives.
